Nick Gallop, Director, Strategic Marketing
Nick combines product, segment and channel marketing skills with captive finance experience. Nick joined IBM straight from university and worked in a wide variety of roles in local, national and international territories. Nick’s successful IBM sales career, with seven ‘100% Clubs’, shaped the customer focus that characterises his approach to marketing.
After 15 years in European marketing positions, Nick was appointed to lead European marketing for IBM Global Financing. Here he found new ways to sell financing through IBM’s channel partners, and also helped to exploit financing to build a competitive edge in IBM’s services business.
On leaving IBM, Nick joined IAA-Advisory. He worked as a consultant to Dell Financial Services. He was recruited to be their European Marketing Director as Dell established Dell Bank International and launched Dell Financial Services.
His experience covers both ends of the captive finance spectrum: He worked to launch and establish a brand new captive at Dell; while at IBM he helped arguably the most mature captive to advance its business. He has used this experience to develop IAA-Advisory’s Captivation workshop™.
Nick is a Fellow of the Leasing Foundation and a member of its Catalysts group, which provides thought leadership to the industry.
